Determine Your Tiara Size

The Everyday TiaraTM is designed for greater comfort than tiaras of the past. Our Modern Tiara FitTM is designed to wrap comfortably around your head without bobby pins and hair combs to keep it in place. It is important to get the right size for your tiara since no one wants metal to push on the sides of their head. We use your hat size to make it easier to find the best fit versus tiaras of the past that required 6-8 months with a number of fittings to get the sizing right.

Please use the table below to find the right size for your tiara. If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next largest size. If none of the sizes work for you, please let us know, and we can make accommodations for you.

How to Measure Your Head

If you are unsure of your hat size, you can measure the circumference of your head by placing a string or tape around your head about 1/8" above your ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head. Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. Aim to measure your head exactly where a hat would sit (see the picture below). If you are concerned about taking your own measurements, you can reach out to a dress store, seamstress, hat milliner and sometimes your local dry cleaner can help you.

How to Wear Your Tiara

They are uniquely designed to sit on top of your head in the same spot where you would put your sunglasses when you aren't using them. The Everyday TiarasTM looks best sitting just behind your forehead hairline by approximately 1/2" to 1" (versus further back like a headband).

When Can You Wear Your Tiara

You may want a tiara for a special occasion, but the Everyday TiaraTM can be worn anytime. You can dress them up for a special occasion with the Tiara Embellishment ClipsTM with diamonds and gems. For other less formal occasions, try personalizing your tiara with the Tiara Embellishment ClipsTM with your initials and other fun things. Or for any occasion, keep it simple and modern with beautiful clean lines of gold and silver precious metals.

We feel that all women deserve to be a queen and they can design their tiara to fit their style.

Below is an excerpt from a blog called, “The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor”. This is a great blog that is dedicated to Royal Fashion and Jewels. They get many questions about when and where you can wear a tiara and here is a little about what they say. You can read more on thier blog at: http://orderofsplendor.blogspot.com/2011/10/royal-splendor-101-tiara-rules.html

“When somebody asks me what the rules are in terms of who can wear tiaras, and when they can be worn, honestly my first instinct is usually to say: don't bother trying to figure it out. These are matters of etiquette and dress code, which means there are many different opinions and absolutely no hard-and-fast rules to make you (or the royals) stick to any one way of doing things. Seriously, there's nothing but a second mortgage and a whole lot of strange looks stopping you from buying a tiara at the next Sotheby's auction and wearing it to the grocery store. So it's almost not worth trying to figure it out, but I'll tell you what I've observed, and then you can disagree with me later.

...[here she lists lots of rules from the good ol’ days, but she closes with]...

It's almost not worth attempting to figure "rules" out? Any time you think you have it down, there's an example to contradict you. No doubt some of you have examples to contradict the things I've said here. Personally, my policy is never to worry about it when it means we get more tiaras, and only to complain when it means we get fewer tiaras. Right?”

We can't say it any better! And, luckily, you don’t have to take out a second mortgage or shop at Sotheby’s for an Everyday TiaraTM.
